9 Best skincare resources you need in your life

beauty flatlay

A few years ago, I decided to deep dive into skincare and started my own skincare journey. In my opinion these people are the best skincare resources to learn from. These people have helped me make responsible decisions about my skin every step of the way. Science can be fun and entertaining along with being instructive.

No matter where you are in your skincare journey, I highly recommend checking out this list of the best skincare resources!

Let’s dive in, shall we?

The best skincare resources out there

Hyram

In any case, Hyram is no secret for many of the TikTokers. I started watching his videos on YouTube almost 2 years ago and I knew there was no going back from there. As a matter of fact, it was his videos and his knowledge that got me interested in skincare in the first place.

He is a skincare specialist and aims to bring skincare to all, no matter your budget, your gender or even your level in the skincare journey. He has a witty personality which he combines with a super-fun way of analyzing ingredient lists. Not to mention, he regularly shares his favorite skincare products and resources.

Cassandra Bankson

Cassandra is another youtuber that I absolutely adore, and she is a medical esthetician with 10+ years of industry experience. For those who don’t know, medical estheticians are licensed skin care professionals. She has shared her struggles with acne and her skincare journey on YouTube, but most importantly she helps educate others to uncover marketing gimmicks and make responsible skincare choices.

Doctorly

Do you know what’s better than a YouTube channel with one dermatologist? You guessed it right! A channel with two dermatologists. Doctorly is run by Dr. Muneeb Shah, a chief dermatology resident (as of the time this article is written) and Dr. Luke J. Maxfield, a board-certified dermatologist. They breakdown technical information around skin concerns that we all have. And what is more, they recommend their favorite products from time to time along with debunking myths prevailing in the industry.

Dr. Shereene Idriss

Another board-certified cosmetic dermatologist who talks about everything under the (skincare) sun. That is to say, this channel is for my fellow nerds who can gobble up dedicated hour-long videos on skincare. However, she also does a short series named Pillowtalk Derm on her Instagram (also available on YouTube), where she covers a wide range of topics including latest trends and comparison of various dermatological procedures.
